Here's a review of the day....
To celebrate World Book Day Class Dearbhla went to Eason's Book Store to choose a book of interest to each of us. We then went to see the film 'The Book Thief' based on the novel by the Australian writer Markus Zusak and on return to school we had a drop and read session with the books we bought in Eason's in the school library. It was a very enjoyable day and we would like to say a 'big thank you' to Ms. Reed and Ms. Fitzgerald
We used our €1.50 vouchers to buy books in Eason's.
I bought 'The Boy in the Smoke' by Maureen Johnson. I read some of it already, it is very good and mysterious. ~ Renee.
I bought 'Middle School: How I Got Lost in London' by James Patterson. I have only read the first two chapters yet but it seems good so far. ~ Amber
The book of my choice was also 'Middle School: How I Got Lost in London' by James Patterson. I am enjoying it very much. ~ Nikita
The best part of the day was going to the cinema. It was a lot of fun. We went to see our own private screening of 'The Book Thief' in the Reel Cinema in Blackpool. The movie is about the Jewish people during World War 11.
The film was really good but sad . I would say it is a film worth watching. ~ Amber
The film was very gripping and I would like to read the book as well as watching the film. ~ Nikita
The film was very good but had a sad ending. I would now like to read the book. ~ Renee
Renee Kelly Collins, Amber Curtin & Nikita Chambers O' Sullivan
